“So you’re probably here cause you wonder what living on an island can be like ? Or maybe you’re just curious and would like to see some pictures of Saint-Barths ? If so, I hope you will like this post!”
November, 2016, my boyfriend and I had the chance to travel to Saint-Barthélémy. Saint-Barths is a french island of 15 Miles located in the Caribbean. As we love big cities and crowd (sometimes ! haha) we really didn’t know what to expect from this island. And after few hours of no sleep (obviously way to excited) : WE HAVE ARRIVED!
We couldn’t wish for a better place to stay : our little home was located in front of Corossol’s beach, area where most of the locals are living. Every night we fell asleep with the sound of the waves. It couldn’t be better! Saint-Barths in a few words would be : amazingly wild, with beautiful beaches and breathtaking sunsets. All the things you wish for during winter time right ? And trust me there is no chance you don’t get used to this lifestyle. Because a typical journey in SBH would be :
A DAY AT THE BEACH
I higly recommend Flamand wich is like heaven on earth. Spend the day at Cheval Blanc hotel and trust me you will never forget this day. And if you want to catch the best sunset picture then Shell Beach would be the place.
WATER ACTIVITIES
Jet-ski, jet-pack, surfing or snorkeling, if you are lucky you will meet the turtles. But don’t forget to spend a morning at the natural pools in Petit-Cul-de-Sac.
DINNER AT
My favorite are la Guérite, Orega, Bonito, l’Isola or l’Isoletta for a casual dinner. You’ll find whatever food you’re up too.
After few weeks you’ll probably feel like you’re every time doing the same things and go to the same places but trust me at the end you’ll always find a reason why you’ll miss this island. And if you can’t handle the 15 Miles then I suggest you to rent a boat and check out the beautiful islands around.
